As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a safe, supportive space for clients to express themselves openly, reflect on their concerns, and explore paths to healing, growth, and self-discovery at their own pace. I am empathic, non-judgmental, and honest, refraining from giving unsolicited advice or steering clients in any particular direction. My goal is to foster a safe, confidential environment that empowers clients to make the most of our therapeutic relationship.|
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have experience with a wide range of clients, particularly supporting individuals recovering from addiction at Renaissance Horizons. Additionally, I volunteer with The Listening Place, a charity focused on suicidal ideation, where I provide face-to-face support to individuals with suicidal thoughts.
Originally from the North West and of Irish heritage, I previously spent over 30 years as a senior policy advisor in the Civil Service, drafting policy and ministerial briefings. Shifting to counselling has been a significant, yet fulfilling transition that aligns closely with my personal values. I draw on my diverse life experiences to offer thoughtful, informed support to my clients
