The Samaritans offer a free number to call 24/7 and someone will be there to listen to you and help you talk through your concerns, worries and troubles. While they are not a counselling or psychotherapy service, the possibility to just connect with someone and have them listen to your concerns can make a difference.

Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, high-quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention via text or WhatsApp, by empowering a community of trained volunteers to support people in their moments of need.

SANEline is a national out-of-hours mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support, guidance and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carers. 

SANEline is open between 4pm to 10pm, 365 days a year.
