I have had the pleasure of dealing with Mark and the EASE team for several years. We agreed to be part of a pilot scheme, which thanks to Mark’s continued support has been a tremendous success. Mental Health is a huge part of a GP’s workload, we can spend many hours a day supporting patients with mental health needs. Our team have referred many patients to EASE’s high quality therapists and have received excellent feedback on an ongoing basis. Because of local NHS pressures, clients are waiting 6 months or more for services. By contrast, the EASE team have triaged and set up the first assessment within 2 weeks. As patients often present in crisis, this is precisely what they need - and what practitioners want for their patients. The therapy is goal focused and personalised, the clients themselves dictate the issues that they want to deal with. Having the opportunity to offer these services in house, by the doctors the patient trust, has broken the stigma towards accessing help for emotional problems and has made a fantastic difference to many people’s lives. Our surgery now become dependent on EASE’s services, our work load has eased significantly, and I can attest first-hand how grateful our clients have been. Thank you to all at EASE!
