Ellen is currently studying for a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London, which focuses on Integrative Therapeutic modalities. Ellen is a BACP Student Member.
Ellen has worked in the charity sector for 10 years, developing specialisms in providing support to people impacted by domestic abuse, homelessness, prison admission and immigration barriers. Ellen currently works with refugees and people in the asylum system.
Ellen is interested in a therapeutic approach that in mindful of the world and context in which we live, that acknowledges peoples’ encounters with marginalisation and adversity, and how this can impact our feelings, our experiences, and our sense of self. Ellen is interested in the relationship between how we feel and our material circumstances, and the role that therapy can play in helping us to navigate them.
Ellen offers a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space to explore emotions and experiences, that fosters genuine human connection, safety and hope, to support clients on their journey to achieve their therapeutic goals.
