Lydia Nixon

Honorary Counsellor working with clients in Clapham

Lydia is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and is midway through her Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at University of East London. Lydia has a warm and accepting presence, allowing you to feel safe to bring whatever is on your mind. Lydia believes that every client is unique and will bring different approaches to suit what the client wants and needs. Whether you want to delve further into your past, or focus more on your feelings and thoughts in the here and now, is up to you. Together we can explore you and your situation, helping you to gain understanding and insight towards a sense of empowerment.

Before joining Ease, Lydia has worked in a number of supportive roles; helping ex-offenders identify and achieve their goals outside of prison, befriending isolated individuals through phone calls during the pandemic, and supporting asylum seekers with their immigration claims. Lydia enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and brings curiosity and kindness to building relationships with others.

Lydia is committed to her own growth, developing her own self awareness through personal therapy. She is a big fan of exercise and nature as a form of self-care. She particularly enjoys swimming in the sea, which for her symbolises her experience of therapy – a place to embrace and explore the waves of life together.
