James is currently working towards a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute in London. Prior to this, he obtained a Certificate in Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. James also sees regular clients for long-term psychotherapy at Mind in Haringey. He has volunteered as a Counsellor at Childline for the past 5 years, where he has provided weekly counselling to children and young people.
James’ background is in law, advocacy and governmental policy. He was previously a Criminal Defence Barrister and more recently has worked in central governmental departments, including the Crown Prosecution Service and the Home Office.
James seeks to tailor his therapeutic approach to each individual client and their specific needs. He frames his entire approach through developing close and meaningful relationships with his clients.
